CAMI Scale (Scaling Community Attitudes Toward the Mentally Ill)
The CAMI scale embodies the development and application of a new set of measures explicitly designed to assess community attitudes toward people with lived experience of mental ill health. The different versions of 40 items, 27 items and 12 Items represent dimensions included in previous instruments authoritarianism, benevolence, social restrictiveness, and community mental health ideology, but are expressed in terms of an almost completely new set of items that emphasise community contact with the mentally ill and mental health facilities. CORAL Guide (Conceal or Reveal: A Guide to Telling Employers about a Mental Health Condition)
A guide for anyone who has experienced a mental health condition and is unsure of issues related to telling a potential or current employer about this. The CORAL booklet aims to help aid decision making by considering your needs and values and helps you to think about when to disclose and who to disclose to. Guide and Key Paper are available.
ECI Scale (Experience of Caregiving Inventory)
The increased recognition of the key role of informal caregivers of severely mentally ill people in community care has sparked an interest in developing instruments to measure the difficulties they encounter. The ECI scale is a self-report measure of caregiving, covering a broad range of experiences, that easy to administer, acceptable to respondents, and with solid construct as well as face validity. DAPR (Discrimination and Prejudice Responses Scale)
The ways in which people respond to stigma can have important consequences for health outcomes, yet there is no measure that assesses responses to stigma that can be used across groups stigmatized for different reasons. The aims of this study were to develop and psychometrically evaluate a new stigma responses questionnaire that can be used by individuals with different types of stigmatised characteristics: the Discrimination and Prejudice Responses Scale (DAPR).
